here's a big/little update... jeff and i have been going in to see my OB every two weeks due to a finding at our first ultrasound, back at 9 weeks. i have a subchorionic hemorrhage, which is basically internal bleeding that could threaten the baby. pre-20 weeks it can miscarry the baby, and post-20 weeks the bleeding out would take blood away from the baby, and it would discontinue growing and getting nourished. we are in every 2 weeks for ultrasounds, and we are in to visit the OB every 3 weeks.
at first, i was really bothered and worried for my baby, i was afraid i had done something to cause this and was hurting it. as we've continued to go to our frequent appointments, i think it's more a blessing for us now to get the ultrasounds and see the baby as often as we do. i am SUCH a worrier by nature and it doesn't help that i have anxiety. but seeing the baby every 2 weeks comforts me so much, seeing it wiggle and dance around when the U/S tech pushes on peanut...
we went to see the OB again on tuesday, and thankfully the bleeding has not gotten worse, it just hasn't decreased in size or reabsorbed itself into my body. so, being full of OB-power, he has decided to put me on PELVIC REST. it is exactly what you think it is. plus no exercising, no lifting anything 8-10 pounds or heavier, sit/lay down whenever i can, and cut back on work. it is not as serious as bed rest, but if i am not careful, the doctor could very easily order me to bed rest due to the situation. being lazy and laying around is SO HARD right now. especially now that i'm beginning to get a "baby bump" and just feel fat and bloated all the time. not being able to exercise makes me feel ten times fatter and so gross (so if you see me, don't tell me i look pregnant - you may lose some hair). the good news is that i have cut back from 40-45 hours down to 30 hours of work a week. doing hair is exhausting, and so is being pregnant!

Allie I'm so sorry! I was on full bed rest my last trimester so I kind of know how you feel. I hope time goes by quickly for you and that things go smoothly. We will remember you and your little on in our prayers. Hang in there. At least you have a really good excuse to be waited on all the time. ;-)
I'm so sorry you guys have to stress about something like that--I hope it doesn't go all the way to bedrest, and in the meantime, i hope you are able to take it easy. Especially at work! I remember vividly how exhausting it is to do hair all day when your pregnant ;) good luck in the coming weeks
