the list.

i asked jeff 5 things that he has been up to lately. he's obviously pretty boring because he couldn't even come up with 3 (probably because he is busy singing phantom of the opera songs with david archuleta).

he gave me this (without the specifics):

1. work. jeff is still working for nuskin and he enjoys it, for the most part. he likes the company.
2. school/homework. he is a fulltime student at uvu. he was really obsessed with his astrology class during the summer block, and now he's equally "into" his life in the universe class. it's really nerdy but it's funny. he says half-jokingly that he should minor in astrology. um, ok jeff..... and no, i don't care what constellation that is, or that i am however many star-distances away from st. george.
3. scouts. we are the bear den-leaders for the cub scout troop in our ward. it's pushing me to be really creative and try to figure out how to talk to 9-year old boys, seeing as i work in a salon with women all day. jeff just shows up and pretends he helped plan scouts that week.
4. fun with allie. apparently we have been doing fun things lately.
5. excited for the weather to change. we both love autumn, but jeff likes winter. i don't. does christmas count?

here are some things i came up with to sum up the last month or so:

1. work. need i say more? i live there. if you need me, go to the salon because you won't find me at home. i get sick of some people and it's getting a little stressful being so busy - i think i need a vacation again. you get really tired and achey standing all day and using your arms and shoulders. but i love what i do and i love interacting with so many people.
2. sad/strange events. we've had a death in the family that has been pretty hard for everyone and we miss her; a friend from school passed away in a freak accident; and my mom, along with two of my brothers were in car accidents (2 separate accidents). all of these events happened within 4 days of each other. stress and crying led to the ulceration of my eyeball. no, i didn't get a picture of it after it blew up. ouch.
3. jogging outside. i've still been taking advantage of the decent weather and have been doing my running outside. i even invested in "running tights," which are the spandex-y capris that suck everything in and keep you warm or cool, depending on the temperature. with the recent weather changes it looks like i'm back to the gym. i've got to resurrect my pass.
4. allergies. runny nose, sneezing, and eye boogers. yum.
5. changing hair color. we have a family picture coming up in about a week, but i am waiting until after to change my hair color. i've been thinking about it for a while now, and i thought i might as well take advantage of it since i work at a salon and have all the resources. it'll be a big change. but i've been blonde again for almost a year and a half now, so we'll see!
